Position Summary

Reading Horizons, one of the fastest-growing educational companies in the nation, provides schools with an evidence-based reading curriculum based on the science of reading to ensure a solid reading foundation for beginning readers and effective remediation for struggling readers of all ages. Reading Horizons utilizes passionate presenters with a background in education to connect with potential clients to present the program. It is important that those presenting the program understand the educational system, specifically reading instruction, so they are able to effectively address questions and provide implementation support. 

A Reading Horizons presenter works with a Reading Horizons account representative in their assigned state to connect with administrators and teachers who are interested in the program. Presenters will travel nationally about two times a month with the account representative. The presenter will attend meetings and events with the account representative, providing a 30 to 60 minute, in-person presentation of the Reading Horizons method and program. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • complete the Reading Horizons presenter certification process
  • travel with a Reading Horizons account representative two times a month (four to 10 days out of the month)
  • give engaging and professional in-person presentations to teachers and administrators
  • stay current with on-going presenter professional development
  • support the Reading Horizons account representative with follow-up after a presentation (e.g., questions, provide resources, etc.)


  • previous experience in public speaking 
  • ability to engage an audience
  • polished speaking skills (e.g., clear language, strong voice, command of the language) 
  • general presentation skills (e.g., how to hook an audience, ability to connect, ability to command a room)
  • ability to adapt and be flexible based on the needs of the prospective client
  • passionate
  • knowledgeable about education and the education system
  • knowledgeable about reading instruction
  • ability to meet the physical demands of the job (i.e., traveling two times a month - four to 10 days)
  • willingness to put in long days traveling 
  • easy-going personality, with an ability to get along with coworkers while traveling 
  • ability to adapt to schedule changes and last-minute presentations
  • willingness to support the mission and values of Reading Horizons


  • bachelor's degree or higher
